Venetian Glass Beads. Today’s Venetian glass comes primarily from the island of Murano off of Venice, Italy. True Venetian glass is world-renowned for being colorful, elaborate, and skillfully made. Many of the techniques used to create Venetian glass were developed in the thirteenth century; today we simply enjoy its beauty.
